How to Make Heart Shaped No Bake Oatmeal Cookies
Heart Shaped Oatmeal Cookies
Last Week Abby gave us a great recipe for
here at HomeMadeville. As it turns out, these are my daughter's teacher's favorite cookies, so I wanted to make them for her birthday. The night before I made them, I was lying in bed thinking of how I could make them cute, and I had an epiphany. I decided to make them heart shaped. To me, it was one of those things where I wondered why I hadn't thought of it previously. The fact that you drop them by spoonful makes it so easy to do...no cookie cutters and no dough rolling!
How to make no bake cookies in a heart shape
Typically one spoonful of the cookie mixture would equal one cookie. For heart shapes, 2 spoons of mixture equals one cookie. (Note: if you are looking to make more cookies, you might want to use a smaller spoon since you are using two spoons of the mixture per cookie.)
Directions, as seen in the diagram above
Step 1: Drop one spoonful of unhardened cookie mixture at a slight angle.
Step 2: Drop the other spoonful at the same angle in the opposite direction.
Voila! That's it!
The texture and consistency of the cookie makes it where they are pretty much perfect immediately, but if you need to, you can certainly shape them up with your finger.
I packaged them in a colorful takeout box befitting the teacher's vibrant and bubbly personality, and they were ready to be delivered.
So this Valentine's Day, show your love to those around you in a tangible way with Heart Shaped No Bake Cookies (Gluten Free or Regular).
